Initially
The Eastern Africa Universities Mathematics Programme (EAUMP) abbreviated as EAUMP started in 2002 with three members:
The Mathematics Department, University of Dar es Salaam
The Mathematics Department, University of Nairobi
The Mathematics Department, Makerere University

Rwanda
The network eventually expanded to the University of Rwanda (Formerly National University of Rwanda, Kigali Institute of Science and Technology and other institutions).
